Detection of Free Bilirubin and Estimation of Reserve Albumin Binding Capacity

This paper is only available as a PDF. To read, Please Download here.
Detection of free bilirubin or decreased reserve albumin binding capacity (RABC), followed by appropriate clinical management, may help to prevent kernicterus in and improve survival of the immature neonate. The attributes and pitfalls of procedures that have been developed to determine RABC are highlighted; a modified procedure that is practical, simple, and rapid is recommended.
