Monitoring of Fetal Scalp pH

      As an adjuvant to continuous fetal heart rate monitoring, fetal scalp blood sampling can improve the accuracy of interpreting abnormal fetal heart rate patterns and thus postpone or prevent unnecessary delivery by cesarean section. However, this procedure is complicated and indications for its use are limited.
