Vitamin A

      Clinical evidence of vitamin A deficiency or toxicity is discussed. Current methods used to assess vitamin A status are critiqued; of these, high performance liquid chromatography appears to have the greatest potential for sensitive, specific, and accurate measurements of vitamin A in biologic samples.
