Immunofixation electrophoresis involves immunoprecipitation of antigen immediately
after electrophoresis by direct application of antiserum to the electrophoretic lane.
The technique is examined in terms of its sensitivity and reliability relative to
those of other routine methods used in the characterization of monoclonal immunoglobulins.
