      This article reviews the light microscopic, immunocytochemical, and ultrastructural features of non-neoplastic serosal tissue and the spectrum of mesothelial cell-derived neoplasms. Those features unique to this group of tumors, and immunocytochemical and ultrastructural parallels between reactive and neoplastic tissues, are discussed.
