The laboratory is an important contributor to patient evaluation for infertility or
recurrent spontaneous miscarriage. Hormonal determinations, cultures for microorganisms,
andrology tests, immunologic tests, karyotype analysis, and histopathology are valuable
components of laboratory evaluation. The use of clinical laboratory tests must be
integrated with other clinical and radiologic studies.
