Assessment of Renal Function in the Young: Special Considerations

      Infants are born in a state of renal insufficiency and have varying degrees of maturity of tubular processes. This is even more striking in premature infants. A review of glomerular and tubular function assessment with particular attention to factors that impact on these developmental and maturational factors is presented.
