Bone Densitometry

This paper is only available as a PDF. To read, Please Download here.
Bone mineral density measurement has become an invaluable tool for assessing an individual’s fracture risk and monitoring response to therapy. This article outlines the technologic aspects of central and peripheral densitometry necessary for proper performance and interpretation. The use of bone mineral measurements in clinical practice to assess fracture risk and monitor the effects of therapy is also explored.
